Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh became the 12th Indian country to record Omicron’s existence, a new variant of concern with two positive cases appearing in the Ghaziabad district.
It can be noted that so far, 101 cases of Positive Covid-19 Omicron have been reported in India in Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Confirming Development, Additional Principal, Health and Welfare Family Amit Mohan Prasad said that all important steps were taken to contain the spread of Coronavirus and filter variants.
Health officials stated that the two people were positively tested towards the new variant of Coronavirus Novel, confirmed by the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi.
They have a history of traveling to Maharashtra where omicron cases have been reported.
“The patients have been taken under medical care while contact contacts have been completed.
Samples suspected of contacts have been sent for testing,” said Health Officer.
Officials in the State Supervision Unit for Covid-19 claimed that up had sent three batch samples to the genome sequencing.
In the first batch, 22 samples were sent from where 21 was tested positive for the Delta variant while someone was wasted.
On the second batch, 24 samples have been sent.
In these two, Omicron isolated.
The results of the third batch consisting of 33 samples were awaited.
Health officials urge people from the country not to panic but remain cautious and adhere to the prevention protocol of Covid-19 in the interests of individual and social.
They also reaffirmed the importance of vaccination to build another layer of protection against the pandemic virus.
Meanwhile, 22 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from 10 countries in the last 24 hours.
Among other things, Gautam Budh Nagar and Muzaffarnagar recorded six cases each while Lucknow and Ghazipur each saw two cases.
15 people recovered in the same duration.
After adjustment, upwards left with 164 active cases in 34 districts with a maximum concentration in Lucknow (31), Gautam Budh Nagar (29) and Ghaziabad (26).
