Little they know their fate depends on the mercy of the dilapidated 15-ft solar nuances.
While the tragic wall last week collapsed at Tirunelveli school which killed three still in mind, the situation in many government schools and companies in the city were scary.

At school at Angallamman Kovil Street in Pattalam, under the sixth zone (Thiruvika Nagar), at least four shades of the sun are severely damaged, with deep cracks on the faded wall which desperately need a layer of paint.
In Pulianthope, an Annexe building from the main corporate school on the new Farrance road used as a cultural hall has been dilapidated with compound walls with bricks exposed.
Someone will expect institutions in the City City area to be maintained properly, but the school of boys in Rajaji in Nungambakkam has a half-broken feel and the government’s school wall in Ashok Nagar has collapsed.
The source of parts of the corporate survey says more than 1,000 windows need to be replaced, large cracks on the floor of about 400 spots need to be repaired, while the ceiling and slabs at 800 points must be changed.
A top official said the corporation would seek funds under Singara Chennai 2.0 to renovate the school.
“Already 20 schools have been renovated at the cost of Rs 50 Crore under the scheme and 28 schools are being transformed under the Citiis program,” he said.
The survey will be studied by engineers again before the proposal for renovation was made.
“This process will end in a week.” Officials of the School Education Department said the reviews will be held to complete the proposal for all dilapidated buildings.
