Havells India Ltd.
has announced its first ‘Industrial 4.0’ manufacturing plant for Lloyd ACs in Ghiloth, Rajasthan.
The company is now entering the washing machine production (WM) in the same location in Ghiloth where the AC plant is located.
The washing machine factory was inaugurated by Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, Niti Aayog.
Spreading more than 50 hectares in Ghiloth, the Greenfield WM unit aims to strengthen the WM Lloyd production capacity with targeted output from 3 lakh units every year.
The company claims that plants strengthen the ‘make in India’ vision.
According to the company, currently producing washing machines, this facility is equipped to expand to more than 5 lakh units every year.
The manufacturing plant consists of the best machines in its class from Japan, Korea and Italy and is equipped with 10 robotic and AGV machines (automatic guided vehicles) and fully integrated material management system.
The plant also has a management execution system – MES from Dassault, France which helps in the real time of process monitoring so as to increase productivity and reduce time loss & waste.
