Mumbai: Mumbai reported 757 new Koronavirus infections on Saturday, marking a case increase for the third consecutive day, the Civic body said.
However, the country’s financial capital recorded zero death related to pandemic during the day.
The city reported 490 cases on Wednesday, 602 on Thursday and 683 cases on Friday.
The kasel increased to 7.70,190 while the dead remained unchanged at 16,368.
280 patients recovered, raising recovery calculations to 7.47,538.
There are 3,703 cases of active coronavirus in Mumbai now.
Previously on that day, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) prohibited new year celebration programs and meetings in closed or open areas in the city considering the increasing case and omicron scare.
The recovery rate in Mumbai is 97 percent while the overall case growth rate between 18 to 24 December is 0.05 percent.
Caseload’s doubling period stood at 1,338 days.
17 buildings have been sealed in the city today.
A building was sealed when more than five cases were found in the place.
