Puri: On Christmas Eve, the international sand artist Sudarshan Pattnik has created a large sand statue of Santa Claus in Puri Beach with around 5,400 roses.
Sudarsan creates Santa Claus sand with installation of red roses and other flowers with a message “Merry Christmas, Enjoy Your Christmas with Covid Guidelines”.
Sudarshan created a 50ft sand statue and 28 feet from Santa Claus with installation of around 5,400 red roses and some white flowers.
He took eight hours for carving and two days to prepare with the help of the sand art institute to complete this statue.
“We all know the third wave of Covid-19 has begun almost all over the world, so we created this statue where Santa spreads the message following the Covid guidelines,” said Sudtarsan, a Padma Shri Awardee.
“I hope this will set a new record in a notebook,” he said.
Sudarsan sand statue in Covid-19 is valued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
