Ranchi: A tiger, Also suffering from fever and other Covid-like symptoms, Expired at Ranchi’s Bhagwan Birsa Munda Biological Park on Thursday night.
Doctors in the zoo have delivered nasopharyngeal swabs and blood samples of Shiva (a 10-year-old man ) to get RT-PCR evaluations to Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, to verify when he had been infected with coronavirus.
Shiva, among those 10 creatures in the event, had grown fever on May 31.
“Although the temperature subsided, he’d lost appetite within the duration of the following two days.
He didn’t eat on Thursday and died later in the nighttime time,” Dr OP Sahu, the zoo veterinarian, told TOI.
The zoo direction procured fast antigen kits by a health shop in Ranchi and screened for that the deceased huge cat.
“The RAT returned a negative impact, but we chose to send his trials into Veterinary Research Institute lab in Bareilly for confirmatory evaluations and histopathological tests,” Sahu stated.
