New Delhi: Delhi recorded 290 new Covid-19 cases on Sundays, the biggest increase in numbers in almost 200 days.
National capital also recorded one Covid-19 death in the last 24 hours, which also saw the level of testing the test rose to 0.55%, the highest since June 4 this year.
The last time Delhi recorded more cases in one day was on June 10, when 305 cases were reported with a 0.41% front minister.
Sunday’s front level is also the highest since June 4, when at 0.68%, according to the health department bulletin.
The surge in new cases in Delhi this week was recorded in the middle of a leap in the case of the new Omicron variant of Coronavirus in Delhi.

The city has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of fresh Covid-19 cases reported , with the last two days also recorded a surge in the highest one-day surge in the past six months.
Delhi on Saturday recorded 249 fresh Covid cases, the highest single-day hike since June 13, when 255 cases were recorded.
The level of participants increased to 0.43%, which was the highest since June 9, when it reached 0.46 percent.
With the number of patients recovering from disease is 120, the number of active cases in the city crosses 1,000 mark on Sundays and soars to 1,103, from 934 active cases on Saturday.
After Maharashtra, Delhi has recorded the maximum number of cases caused by the Omicron variant, which is thought to be the cause behind the waves in cases lately.
Of the total number of Covid-19 patients, 230 was being treated in various city hospitals and 583 patients currently recovering in house isolation, compared with 464 patients on Saturday.
