Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will sign an agreement with two private companies on Monday to take the work of bio-mining in Daruthenga, the city waste dump page, in the first initiative in the state.
Two private companies have been asked to deposit RS 3 Crore as security.
“The job will begin in January next year.
After the guarantee received, BMC will give the past to take work on the site.
While household waste which has been separated will be processed to make compost on the spot, the hard material like metal and plastic will be extracted For recycling.

Bio-mining involves separation and processing waste in the source itself and the formation of the next soil.
This project has been given cabinet approval in November.
Bio-mining work is entrusted to two companies through tenders.
After the Cabinet approval, the work order is issued.
National Green Tribunal (NGT) has requested citizenship agencies to clear the inheritance waste (old), after the center that has issued the same direction as the reasons for NGT.
BMC has thrown garbage in Daruthenga since 2008.
But rigid protests from local residents forced the Civic’s body to gradually get out of Daruthenga.
It also starts transporting waste to the micro composting center, which converts waste into compost.
At present, BMC is able to divert around 30% of the 600 metric tons of waste, this city produces every day to PKS, while the rest are still sent to Daruthenga.
