New Delhi: BJP is likely to play a senior partner’s role in its flagins with Amarinder Singh Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s Sad (Sanyukt) in Punjab, and the coalition cannot projected the face of the minister’s head in the election run-up, said on Monday.
Former Punjab Cm Singh and Former Union Minister Dhindsa on Monday met BJP Top leadership, including the Head of News Union Amit Shah and Nadda JP Party President in New Delhi.
After the meeting at Shah’s Residence, BJP Punjab In-Charge Gajendra Shekhawat officially announced that the three parties would oppose the election and will appear with the same manifesto.
Shekhawat said the Joint Committee would be formed consisting of two leaders from each party to resolve chair sharing agreements and vision documents.
Asked about the face of the chairman of the coalition minister, Shekhawat said that the election would be contested “under the Alliance Collective Leadership”.
“BJP usually conducts elections on behalf of PM Modi,” he said, adding that the party did not project any face for the position of minister’s head.
He also underlined that the Seatsharing agreement would not be based on the previous party alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab.
“BJP is a national party who has won two selections Lok Sabha back to the back and its base has developed throughout the country so that the alliance in Punjab will not be based on the chair distribution formula from the Akali Alliance in Punjab,” said Shekhawat.
The Minister also said the vision document would focus on all the punjab punjab problems.
The source at the party said that BJP will play a senior partner role in the border state and can follow more than half of the 117 seats And AAP, will work.
Singh formed his own party, Punjab Lok Congress, for days after he resigned as the main minister and stopped Congress.
