New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi announced on Saturday that the “Prevention Dosage” (reinforcement) of the Covid vaccine for health workers and front lines and for those with over 60 with co-morbidity will begin on January 10.
He also said vaccination for children aged 15 years -18, using Covaxin, it will start from January 3.

Covaxin is the second vaccine, after Zycov-D Zydus Cadila, to get a rules for limited use among children in the 12-18 aged bracket.
However, the current vaccination program will include children over 15.

The assessment includes the impact of vaccination among parents, those who have co-morbidities and vaccine response in terms of gaps between doses.
The researchers also evaluated data on re-infection and breakthrough infections in India and also globally.
PM said the decision to introduce a ‘dose of precautions’ and children’s immunization will strengthen the fight against Covid-19 and help normalize education at school.
PM said the announcement would mark the opportunity for Christmas and BJP Stalwart’s birthday and late former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He stressed that when the virus mutated, the state’s ability and confidence to face challenges also multiply together with our “innovative spirit”.
