PATNA: The trial of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin in kids at AIIMS-Patna is creating a great answer with over 100 teens registering for the procedure in 1 week.
Three children have been jabbed.
AIIMS-Patna superintendent Dr C M Singh stated 102 registrations were performed until Thursday and circulation of kids to get the trial was satisfactory.
“parents are coming forward with their children to get the trial.
I’d still ask more visitors to allow their kids take part in the trial,” Dr Singh said.
Of those 102 registered kids, many were not permitted to take part in the trial because they’d tested Covid favorable or were declared by the paediatricians.
The hospital management has, nevertheless, refused to talk about details of these children, stating the information cannot be revealed because the trials continue to be on.
“At the very first phase, we’re vaccinating kids between 12 and 18 decades old.
Kids in the age group of 6 to 12 years will be vaccinated at the next phase and people between a couple of decades and six years at the next phase.
There’s absolutely not any strategy to run offense children below two decades old as of today,” Dr Singh said.
He added there was no time restriction for the procedure as trial may be achieved in a flexible way.
