Chennai: Even while quoting a high debt burden of the state to delay implementing several promises of his polls, the DMK government on Tuesday announced an increase in loved allowances to employees and retirees which will produce additional annual expenditures of Rs 8,724 Crore.
Minister of Man Chief M K Stalin has ordered an increase in blamon benefits from 17% to 31%, an increase of 14 percentage points, which will result in a more than 82% increase in the dear allowance for employees and retirees from January 1.
On September 7, this year, Stalin has told the State Assembly, while making a statement under Section 110, about the intention of the state of the state to increase bursts of blaming for employees and their retirees from January 1, 2022, releases added.
The minister’s chairman also gave sanctions on an additional RS 170 Crore as a pongal gift for the ‘C’ and ‘D’ employee category, besides retirees, those in special Timescale and those who retire from such village administration services.
While the “C ‘and’ D ‘category will receive RS 3,000 as a pongal prize, for retirees it will become Rs 500.
People in Timescale Special will receive RS 1,000 and former village administrative officers and those who retire from Timescale specifically will receive RS 500 as a gift of a pongal from the state government.
Even though the country struggles under the debt burden, the main minister has ordered the sanctions of the amount needed to pay dear benefits given the welfare of government employees and retirees, the broadcast said.
