New York: British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty on Wednesday recruiting and grooming young girls to experience sexual harassment by the late American investors Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell, who turned out to be 60 on Christmas Day, punished by 12 judges from five of the six charges he faced, including the most serious allegations of underage trade sex.
He sat passively in Manhattan the courtroom, slowly removed his mask to take water gulf, as Judge Alison Nathan read the verdict, achieved after five full days of deliberation by the jury.
After that, Maxwell’s lawyer said his legal team had worked for appeal.
“We believe this is not guilty of Ghislaine.
Obviously we were very disappointed with the verdict,” his lawyer Bobbi Sternheim told reporters outside the courthouse.
“We have started working to appeal and we are sure that he will be justified,” he said.

Lower costs have five or 10 years.
Maxwell was found innocent from one temptation of counlies from small for trips to engage in illegal sex acts.

The two alleged victims of Epstein said they were Semah 14 when Maxwell allegedly started their grooming and arranged them to provide massages to Epstein which ended in sexual activity.
One, identified only as “Jane,” detailed how Maxwell was recruited in the summer camp and made him feel “special.” He said sexual relations with Epstein became a routine, with Maxwell sometimes present.
Others, will be with “Carolyn,” he said he was usually paid $ 300 after sexual relations with Epstein, often with Maxwell himself.
A suspected third victim was Annie Farmer, now 42, who said Maxwell caressed his breasts when he was a teenager in New Mexico farms owned by Epstein.
Epstein, 66, committed suicide in prison in 2019 while waiting for his own sex crime court.
Maxwell, a friend-close lover, was arrested the following year.
Maxwell has claimed not to be guilty of all important.
The prosecutor was described as a “sophisticated predator who knew exactly what he did.” Prosecutor Alison Moe said Maxwell is a “key” for the Epstein scheme of interesting young girls to give him a massage, where he will torture them sexually.
MOE was quoted as a bank record that showed that Maxwell received $ 30 million from Epstein between 1999 and 2007 as evidence that his participation was motivated by money.
“They are partners in crime,” he said.
The Maxwell defense team was countered that there was a “lack of evidence” for inmates and questioned the ability of the accuser of the events contemplate a quarter of the old age.

Virginia Giuffre, who was not the accused in this case but accused Epstein loaned out for sex with wealthy and strong partners, including Prince Andrew – after Maxwell introduced the kingdom for Financier – welcomed the verdict in a statement on Twitter.
“My soul longs for justice for years and is currently the judge gives me only that.
I will remember today always,” he said.
“I hope that today is not the end but another step in justice served.
Maxwell doesn’t act alone.
