Vijayawada: BJP President AP Somu Veerraju on Tuesday promised to supply ‘quality’ liquor at Rs 50 per bottle quarter, if BJP was chosen to power in Andhra Pradesh.
At present a quarter of quality liquor bottles are sold in more than Rs 200.
Speaking at the party’s public meeting here on Tuesday, Veerraju digging the state government for selling “poor” liquor to people at a higher price.
He alleged that all fake brands sold in the state for higher prices, while brands known and popular were not available.
The BJP State President said that everyone in this country spent Rs 12,000 a month in liquor, which was given to them by the government on behalf of the scheme or another.
Veerraju said that one crore of people in the country consumed liquor and wanted them to be the only crore of people to choose BJP in 2024 elections.
He promises a ‘quality’ liquor with Rs 75 per bottle and if income will improve and even rs 50 per bottle.
The BJP State President alleged that the leaders of the ruling party had a liquor factory that supplied cheap liquor to the government.
