Panaji: The state government on Wednesday issued orders that make it mandatory for those who enter certain places to be fully vaccinated or have a Covid negative certificate.
However, orders do not mention anything about new year events including festivals music and outdoor parties.
While the conditions will apply to restaurants, pubs, bars, auditoriums, cinemas, river cruises, and amusement parks, also apply to wedding venues.
At the end of December and early January was the peak wedding season in Goa.
Importantly, the state has placed the responsibility to enforce this condition to the owner / manager or license / holder of these places.
Apart from this limitation, the command Wednesday is synonymous with other orders issued by the state in September.
Like before, all this place will be permitted to operate with a capacity of 50%, and will be subject to covid security norms.
On Tuesday, CM Pramod Sawant ignored the recommendations of the state expert committee and refused at night at night, claiming he did not want to disturb tourism activities.
“We don’t want to disturb the tourism business, and if the level of prospective continues to increase, strict steps will be taken,” he said.
“The decision to impose a strict sidewalk to control the spread of Covid will be taken on January 3 at the task force meeting.” Thousands of tourists have packed the coast and night clubs to deliver a new year celebration.
