New Delhi: As an online teenager registration in the age group 15-18 years starting on the co-win portal on Saturday, the district authority in the city is also preparing for cohort vaccination from Monday.
The source in the Delhi government said 159 government centers were originally appointed to vaccination of this group, which was born in 2007 or before, regardless of private vaccination facilities.
The estimated number of beneficiaries in this cohort is around 10 lakh, said an official.
“After registration on the co-win portal, the school identity card can be used for vaccination, in addition to ID issued by other governments such as passport or aadhaar cards,” he said.
The vaccination center has been set in accordance with the distribution of adolescent populations.
The biggest number – 21 – located in the south western district, followed by New Delhi (18), Central (17) and northeast (16).
At present, North and South Regency has the lowest number of government centers at 11, apart from the northwest with 12 centers.
Most of the government center – 61 – has been established in schools, mostly run by the Delhi government, apart from city bodies.
The centers have also been arranged in three colleges, including Shyam Lal College and Vivekananda College in East Delhi.
The designated center will also function from 20 hospitals, including AIIMS, Safdarjung, Hindu Rao, Maulana Azad Medical College, Lady Hardinge, Ram Manohar Lohia and Swami and Swami Hospital.
Among the private hospitals, Moolchand Hospital will also join the drive.
“The hospital has ensured that the drive-thru center was cut off from the main building and there was no interface with other patients,” said Vibhu Talwar, MD from Moolchand Healthcare Group.
Most of the other centers are located in the centers of pregnancy and well-being or maternity homes (24), apart from Delhi Government and Dispensaries ESI (18), CGS Clinics (13) and Polyclinic (7).
Some centers have been established in buildings such as the Community Center, Chaupals Village, Shahdara Metro Station and Prachin Shiv Mandir near Main Delhi-Gurgaon Road.
