Religious: MKCG Medical College and Hospital supervisor, Santosh Kumar Mishra, here have been treated at Covid Hospital after he tested positive on Friday night.
In cold suffering, Mishra underwent a RT-PCR test.
He might have caught an infection from someone when he met many people every day.
He said no other medical staff were infected by the virus.
He has appealed to people, who come into contact with them, to undergo a Covid-19 test.
Mishra was fully vaccinated before.
The official source said the Covid situation in the district was not worrying.
There are only 21 active cases.
Only two patients underwent treatment at Covid Hospital while others were undergoing home care.
On Saturday, Covid District calculations increased to 33,994 and 33,482 patients had recovered from disease.
Overall 483 people died of Covid-19.
The mixed Municipal Corporation (BECC) has closed all the parks for three days starting Friday to avoid public meetings.
Civic’s body has limited meetings and crowds.
Previously, Ganjam collectors limited public meetings at Gopalpur, Sonepur, Tara Tarini Ttemple and Tampara Lake from December 31 to January 2.
