Students have taken two vaccine doses against Covid-19, management said.
In accordance with medical professional instructions available on the Nit campus in Thuvakudi, infected students are isolated and are being monitored.
“They are healthy and stable.
We plan to continue the physical class for third-year students from mid-January.
Playback is part of the process of continuing class teaching,” G Kannabiran, Director is responsible for the Institute, to TII.
Of the 1,000 third year students, around 520 have arrived at the Institute to attend classes.
Classes for first year students and the last year are being carried out virtually, while the class physical session for second year students is taking place from the last week of December 2021.
There are around 1,700 students at the Nit Trichy campus on Monday.
“The students were tested on arrival, and they were tested positively quarantined.
There is no reason to panic, we will launch a physical class according to the plan,” said the director responsible.
While the initial report claimed that 10 students were tested positively on campus, Nit management refused the claim and maintained the RT-PCR test which only revealed seven positive Covid cases.
