Rajkot: In a big boost for the vaccination of children in the 15 to 18-year-old group, a special drive was launched in Gujarat on Monday morning with a target to cover 36 beneficiaries in the category in one week.
On the first day of vaccination in Rajkot, students have queued their government schools and health centers to take the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Students are seen with their aadhar card in their hands and in their respective school uniforms.
A total of 14,299 children were vaccinated in 71 schools in Rajkot City on Monday.
The Civic’s body reached the target of 83% from the first day of 17,000.
Health officials have set targets to vaccinate 18,000 children on Tuesday.
About 80,000 children will be vaccinated in Rajkot City during the trip all week.
In the Jamnagar district, a total of 11,189 children were vaccinated on the first day of a total of 48,000 identified.

He was fully vaccinated but suffered from age-related comorbidity.
The doctor said that he was reported late at the hospital.
