American Sebastian Korda said on Wednesday he had been tested positive for Covid-19 after landing in Adelaide ahead of the Australian Open this month.
The cord has been withdrawn from the Adelaide International Heating event but the world number 41 is in the main drawing entry list for the Grand Slam this month in Melbourne Park.
“There are no symptoms and two negative results since positive testing,” he wrote on Twitter with his video about the ball on the wall of the hotel room.
“Thank you Australian tennis for all equipment!” The positive corden test appeared as world number one Novak Djokovic was refused entry into Australia after being given a medical exception from Covid-19 vaccination requirements so he could play in the Australian Open.
