Hyderabad: Health officials have observed two interesting trends as the country recorded more than 1,000 new Covid-19 cases after almost a six-month gap since the second wave.
The first, more cases were detected through private and second laboratories, the number of cases saw a large surge when there was no super spreader event that occurred, except physical classes in schools and colleges.
Speaking to Toi, the State Health Director Dr.
G Srinivasa Rao said, “It’s time for a difficult protocol now because of the cases multiply quickly.
If carefully not done, it’s only a problem before the cases in the district increase, especially during Celebration.
“At present, 13 districts – Suryapet, Muluugu, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Jangaon, Bhupalpally, Gadwal, Karameddy, AsifaBad, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Peddapalli and Wanaparthy – have zero leading levels.
Until Monday, Adilabad had the highest level of participants in the state after Hyderabad was 0.36 percent.
However, this city has seen leaps in this regard, with the current level of prospective at 0.45 percent.
“More asymptomatic cases this time with many cases emerged from the private lab.
The number of daily tests also increased, with cases now reported throughout the city,” said a senior health official.
The authorities also showed that it was not surprising that the number of cases had increased after the event of the New Year’s Day.
“It seems that people welcome the new year and third wave but the health care system is now better prepared to handle these cases,” other senior officials said.
Health officials also stated that there was no second contact in Paramount’s colony, which accommodated several patients detected by the omicron variant, positively tested.
There are more than a thousand tests done in the area.
Such trends, according to experts and officials, called for increased vigilance because they showed the emergence of cases of large meetings and parties.
