Coimbatore: Mahila Court Regency in Coimbatore on Thursday sentenced two men up to 20 years of imprisonment to rape their sister near Polarchi in 2016.
Survivor rape was a construction worker.
He married a driver of the Autorickshaw.
It was a second marriage.
The couple has children.
When her husband did not produce enough to run the family, he went for construction work.
Her husband objected to it and fighting with him.
After fighting with her husband, the woman went to her parents’ house in Polachi in July 2016.
His brother took his friends, R Vimal aka Vimalraj, 31, and B Karthi, 31 to resolve the family’s family problem.
Both of them work as an autorickshaw driver.
The duo came from Kumaran Nagar in Pollachi.
The woman knew her brother’s friend and talked to them about his family’s problems.
They promised him that they would try to solve the problem and would immediately bring her husband to the house.
Meanwhile, his brother got a call from a private company and went to work.
He left his two friends at his residence.
Vimalaj and Karthi behave rudely with the woman, and they told him that they would take him to her husband at the Autorickshaw.
He trusted their words and agreed to travel with them.
Duo stopped the autorickshaw in an isolated place and consumed liquor.
Karthi tried to increase it.
When the woman tried to escape, the duo physically attacked him and whipped him with a belt.
Then, the duo raped him repeatedly and left him in the nearest place.
The woman managed to reach a private hospital where doctors gave first aid and told the West Pollachi police.
The police registered a case against the Duo below 323 (punishment because voluntarily caused injury), 324 (voluntarily caused wounds using harmful facilities or weapons), 376 (d) (Gang Rape) and 506 (II) (criminal intimidation) Indian criminal code and catch them.
Judge R Nandhinidevi sentenced him to two years of imprisonment for Gangrape and two years because voluntarily cause wounds and criminal intimidation.
The court slaps the fine of RS 5,000 in each.
Special Prosecutor B Jisha appeared on behalf of the woman.
