Coimbatore: City Corporation has converted the function of command and controls integrated in the auditorium at Puram Hospital to the Covid-19 war room considering the increasing number of cases.
The Round-the-Clock call center has been set to receive information from people about Covid-19 and clarify doubts.
The team consisting of 15 computer operators, five technical consultants and each doctor have been deployed in three shifts.
The video wall in the middle will display the latest information related to Covid-19.
People can get information about vaccination camps, medical camps and counseling.
It will also provide guidance for those who have isolated themselves at home.
As many as 500 people have associated to do a door-to-door inspection to find Covid-19 symptoms.
Simultaneously, the prevention of dengue fever is also being carried out by corporate officials with the help of 1,000 breeding checkers.
They visit houses to check freshwater sources that provide breeding places for mosquitoes that spread with fever.
