Letter: The city witnessed a massive surge in the case of Covid-19 with 630 more people infected on Wednesday and the Athwa Posh zone contributed almost half of them.
In the letter district, 60 new cases while other districts in South Gujarat also saw a sharp increase.
Overall, 58 students from various schools and colleges were tested positively.
Specific classes in schools are ordered to remain closed in these institutions for seven days.
A total of 654 people who come into contact with positive students are tested and their report is awaited.
From positive cases, seven people were in the Society Nehru Nagar at Ichhanath and four at the Indraprasth Society in the city light area.
These communities are stated by the cluster zone.
Those who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter the government office in the letter district.
The exact Chaudhari, BJP MLA from Kaprada in Valsad, who is also the Minister of State for a water supply, was tested positively.

He was fully vaccinated and 69 people who came in his contacts were tested but were not found positive.
Meanwhile, Navsari BJP MLA Piyush Desai was tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
He tweeted about his health and told his supporters.
Desai developed mild symptoms after he was tested himself.
He has quarantined his own and suggested everything that had come into contact with him to be tested.
