Ahmedabad: Covid-19 case analysis reported in the past week shows that Gujarat registered 10,138 new cases between December 30 and January 5.
Of these, 5,093 or 50% of cases, came from Ahmedabad City alone.
Within 24 hours 5 pm on Wednesday, the city added 1,637 new cases, the highest number in 232 days or almost eight months.
Compared to Tuesday, new cases rose 27%.
With debit 52 patients, the number of active cases rose to 5,710 in the city, more than half of the 10,994 active cases of the country.
Inpatient level, however, remains low, said city-based experts.
The city has 110 strange patients in government and private hospitals, which represents around 2% of active patients.
Experts warn of any weakness in participating in the Covid protocol.
Dr.
Manoj Singh, a city-based pulmonology, said that the government must strictly enforce the Covid safety protocol in public places, such as the use of masks and physical distances.
“People also have to take cleanliness seriously and cut unnecessary trips, at least for the next few days, to break the infection chain,” he said.
“I urge residents to isolate themselves and are tested for Covid-19 even if they have the lightest symptoms of infection.” Dr.
Bharat Gadhvi, President of Ahmedabad Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (AHNA), said that they urged the Covid protocol to be more stringent in the workplace and that people are allowed to work from home if they show symptoms associated with the virus.
The test level of test (TPR) remains more than 10% for the district (including the city) over the past two days.
On Tuesday, this district found 1,314 cases from 11,999 tests – TPR 10.9%.
In comparison, the country’s TPR is 3.1%.
