Ludhiana: The Punjab School Education Council has postponed a delayed exam because of the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state.
Mending the cooler-1 examination class V, VIII, X, and XII should begin on February 7 but with the school ordered to be closed, the board has a little choice but to delay this test.
Class XII students must write three papers a day for 1 council exam done in December.
The students were infected with Covid-19 during that time and those who missed the exam because participation in sports qualified for delayed exams.
Class XII has 159 papers, and students appear to two tests a day but those whose third subject test clashes are given another opportunity by the council to appear later in January after school opening.
Janak Test Controller Raj Mehrok said: “Now after the test that will be carried out from the position of January 7 is postponed, the new dates will be announced.
The school is recommended to visit the Punjab School Education Board website from time to time for updates about the board that is delayed.” The number of candidates for this delayed exam is unknown, because the board must receive details from the school.
On the problem, Mehrok said: “The students who failed to sit the exam, would first get another chance, but schools must submit this information to the board, and we have not heard from them.” He blamed the meeting of parents-teachers, break winter, and closing schools for non-acceptance details.
Convincing the students, Mehrok said: “Because the date is close, the students do not need to worry because the board will reschedule the exam must be in accordance with the situation.”
