Ludhiana: The BJP District Unit held a protest outside the Mini Secretariat on Friday against the Congress government because it did not provide the right safety protection to PM Narendra Modi during the Punjab visit on January 5 at Ferozepur.
The BJP leaders protested for two hours and also handed over a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner of Varinder Sharma.
Leaders claim that the state government failed to protect PM.
BJP District President Pushpinder Singhal said, “PM came to provide a large project to the state.
Congress’s insecurity has resulted in the loss of the country.” BJP leaders said Charanjit Minister Singh Channi and other officials responsible for the incident had to resign.
They added that the legal and order situation in Punjab was not in accordance with the brand and this incident had proven that the Congress government failed to defend it.
Meanwhile, the police had difficulty controlling the situation when one person from the crowd began to shout against PM.
Some activists pounced on him.
The police intervention on time saves it.
BJP leaders also tried to block traffic on the road.
The leaders accused the police did not take action against him.
