Cook ‘blackmails with spy cam videos’

Written by news2in

Gurgaon: A family in DLF-2 has gone to the police after being allegedly blackmailed by a cook they recently removed from the job with videos he allegedly recorded by placing spy cameras in the house’s washrooms.
Tej Bahadur Sujikar (25), originally from Nepal, had been working at the house for the past two years and would live with the family.
His employers claimed he had begun “acting weirdly”, which prompted them to remove him from work on May 15.
Over the next few days, Sujikar allegedly sent his employers multiple WhatsApp voice messages, claiming he had video clips of members of the family in the washrooms.
“Between May 29 and June 2, he sent us several voice messages on WhatsApp.
He said he had placed cameras in our bathrooms and would upload videos of female members on social media if we did not pay him a hefty amount,” the complainant said.
After the voice messages, the family checked all the bathrooms in their house but could not find any camera.
They suspect Sujikar might have taken the cameras along while leaving.
The complainant said Sujikar was treated as a family member and had access to all areas of the house.
None of them had any inkling that he had sneaked into the bathrooms and hid cameras there.
On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the cook under Section 384 (extortion) of the IPC at DLF Phase 2 police station.
“The case has been registered and we are trying to track the accused,” police spokesperson Subhash Boken said.
A police officer said it was also possible that the accused did not place any cameras in the washrooms but was just threatening his previous employers to pay up with false claims of being in possession of videos that invaded their privacy.
The cops said Sujikar might have crossed over to Nepal.
