Patna: The country on Monday is registered 4,737 fresh covid cases and five deaths.
Patna itself accounts for 2,566 new cases.
Five fresh deaths have taken victims of Covid countries to 12,106.
Three Covid patients died in Aiims-Patna and each of them was at IGIMS and PMCH.
The number of active cases in this country reached 20,938 on Monday.
The Executive Director of the State Health Community Sanjay Kumar Singh said among the three who died in Aiims-Patna, a six-year-old child who also suffered from brain disease.
Two other victims were a 50-year-old man who suffered from ‘Fournier Gangren’ and a septuagenarian suffering from cancer.
At Igims, a 21-year-old covid patient died.
The fifth death was reported from PMCH.
The Principal of the Hospital, Dr.
Bidyapati Chaudhary, said the victim was a 93-year-old man from Kankarbagh on Patna.
Monday saw the country that recorded the highest daily death in the third wave so far.
Doctors and health care workers continue to be infected as 19 new positive cases reported from Igims on Monday.
Dr.
Manish Mandal Hospital Inspector said three patients were senior doctors, four senior citizens, two junior residents, two medical students, seven technical staff and technical staff.
However, cases registered on Monday are a little less than Sunday when 5,022 people have tested positive viruses.
