Patna: The country on Tuesday enrolled the highest daily case during the third covid wave with 5,908 people testing the positive virus in the last 24 hours, including 2,202 on Patna only.
With this, the Covid calculation as a whole country has increased to 7.56,045.
Five new deaths on Tuesday have taken casualties to 12,111.
Two Covid-19 patients died at Nalanda Medical College and hospitals (NMCH) and each at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Sai Hospital and Bhagalpur Hospital.
With this, the state mortality rate has risen to 1.6%.
The Executive Director of the State Health Society Sanjay Kumar Singh said a 65-year-old man Covid patients suffered from chronic hypertension and type-2 diabetes died in NMCH.
