Patna: The people in the age group of 20 to 39 years are the most affected in the third wave of Covid pandemic, the principal of additional school health department Pratyaya Amrit told Mediodaysons here on Tuesday.
About 51.9% of people infected with Coronavirus between January 1 and January 10 are in the age group of 20-39 years, according to the Ministry of Health data.
About 1.9% of infected people were in the age group of 0-9 years, 10% were 10-19, 15.2% in 40-49 and 12.5% ​​in the age group 50-59.
Among affected, 8.6% were senior citizens.
Overall 29,149 people have tested positive Covid in the state in the last 10 days.
From them, 66.9% were men and 33.1% of women.
About 99% infected with Covid-19 in the state was under house isolation while inpatient levels in the third wave of pandemics reached 0.9% on Tuesday.
Amrit said the recovery rate was relatively better because people recovered from infection in 5-7 days under house isolation.
