Srinagar: A police officer from the Special Operations Group (SOG) and terrorist Jaish-e-Muhammad (JEM) was killed while three soldiers were injured in a shootout in the village of Pariwan Kulgam Regency on Wednesday, police said.
When security forces approached suspected hideaway, terrorists shot them, who were returned to trigger meetings.
“In a shootout, SOG personnel and a terrorist, were killed,” said the IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
He said that three soldiers and two civilians were also injured in a shootout and shifted to the hospital.
