Data from the Regional Meteorology Center (RMC), Nagpur, showed that in December 2021, Nagpur received 14.6 millimeter rainfall (mm).
The previous highest rainfall in December in the last 11 years for the district 12.6mm was recorded in 2018.
Between 2011-2013 and 2015-2017, the district had recorded 0mm rainfall that month.
According to meteorological records, Amravati, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gondia, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal also received the highest rainfall for December in 2021.
With 38.9mm, the Gondia received maximum rainfall in this region not only in December 2021 also in 11 years final.
It was followed by Chandrapur, which recorded 27.7 mm of rain and Bhandara who received 26 mm rainfall.
