Baghdad: At least two Katyusha Rockets were fired at the US Embassy in Baghdad on Thursday, but rockets were shot down before reaching compounds that did not cause casualties or damage, said two Iraqi military officials.
Officials who talk to Reuters with anonymity requirements do not provide further details.
A series of attacks, some of which the United States blamed the militia group that was in harmony with Iran, had a targeted base or installation that hosted military and US diplomatic personnel this year did not cause casualties.
Iranian aligned militia in previous years did dozens of similar attacks, largely caused a little danger.
