New Delhi: More than 3.14 crore teenagers, accounting for 42% of young people between 15-18 years, have been covered with the first dose of Covid vaccines in about 11 days since the launch of the Covid vaccination program for this category on January 3 on January 3.

Among other major countries Bihar has provided 25.03 lakh, Andhra Pradesh has given 21.30 doses of lakh, Gujarat 20.68 lakh, Maharashtra 23.94 lakh, Rajasthan 23.68 and Tamil Nadu 18.07 lakh.
Delhi has given 4.59 lakh the first dose to young people aged 15-17 years.
Recognizing an enthusiastic response from young people, Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm among young India.” “More than 3 children crore between 15-18 age groups have received a dose of 1 vaccine # Covid19.
I begged all my young friends who qualified for the earliest vaccinations,” he said.
Overall, more than 155 crore doses have been given throughout the country.
These include nearly 33 doses of lakh or booster prevention measures for health workers and front lines and over the 60 years given from January 10.
