Varanasi: Congress, which announced a list of the first candidate on Thursday, has lowered former MLA Ajay Rai from the Pindra chair in Varanasi.
Rai, MLA five times from Ester Kolalasala and Pindra, also opposed the selection of Lok Sabha did not succeed for three times.
He was defeated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in Pindra in the 2017 Election.
“A political justice and change will begin at Uttar Pradesh with tickets announced by the Priyanka Gandhi Party Secretary General,” Rai said and revealed it.
The confidence to win the seat he continued to defend the chair in the 2002 and 2007 elections, defeating Awadhesh Singh from BSP.
Rai came out of BJP in 2009 after the party refused to give him a ticket to fight for the selection of Sabha from Varanasi.
He then joined the Jamajwadi Party, and opposed the election against Murli Manohar Joshi, but was lost.
After losing Lok Sabha’s election, he performed the election by Kolalasla in 2009 as independent and won a chair.
After no more Kolalasla constituency, post-delimitation, Rai Won from the new Pindra constituency in the 2012 Assembly in the Congress.
