Story: Chinna Bangarraju take forward his grandfather’s legacy into a massive flirt Bangarraju.
Her grandmother worried but wants to make sure he was not alone before he passed on.Review: With Bangarraju, Kalyan Krishna picked up where he left off with Soggade Chinni Nayana.
While he tries to connect threads for both films, she forgot to inject some freshness in the script is done and dusted.
The film is very dependent on the excitement at the sight of fans Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya together in one frame.
But is it enough to make this Sankranthi perfect watch? Chinna Bangarraju (Naga Chaitanya) have grown up without parents in the care of his grandmother Satyabhama (Ramya Krishnan).
His father Ram Mohan (Nagarjuna) left him under her care and returned to the US after the death of his wife Seetha (Lavanya Tripathi) in child-birth.
Despite coming from a family who guarded the local temple, he grew up sharing a difficult relationship with God because of lost loved ones early in life.
Instead of keeping the village, he passed the time by playing the card game and the opposition Naga Lakshmi (Krithi Shetty), who (Rao Ramesh) sarpanch’s daughter.
Satyabhama enlists her husband (Nagarjuna) Bangarraju assistance to help their grandchildren settle down, but little do they know what they are going to help him out of harm too.Bangarraju started well.
There are gems to excavate from the temple.
There are also snakes keep the same structure.
A priest had a horrific premonition.
To Not surprisingly, Bangarraju that make merry with Rambha-Urvasi-Menaka in heaven is not tempting way through hell.
Chinna unique Bangarraju; Naga Lakshmi is a manic pixie dream girl painted to be stupid just for a few laughs.
Satyabhama is that the grandmother can not continue (literally) until he sees his grandchildren happy.
Ram Mohan is back to doing what he does best – ignore family.
Daksha Nagarkar, Meenakshi Dixit playing cameos.
These are all high on drama, low on logic and laughs, but interesting enough to make you want to sit through, thanks to the colorful figures.
But soon Kalyan Krishna tried to pull out of the corner that seemed to be placed for the sake of it and introduce characters long (Sampath Raj) late into the story by linking them to new characters like Aadi (Padma Soorya), which is starting to look disappear after a while.
He also started to peel layers Chinna mid Bangarraju but lost the plot.
Yarn in Soggade Chinni Nayana replaced by a ring and before you know it, Faria Abdullah dancing to Vaasivaadi Tassadiyya that brings some relief.
But then again if you are looking forward to the song, is the story really all that interesting? Bangarraju starting to look like a blatant length movie that does not really have anything new to tell.
Seems like old wine in new bottles.
Nagarjuna brings convenience to the characters as usual and showed more variation between Bangarraju and Ram Mohan of Naga Chaitanya not like Chinna Bangarraju, when she was owned by Bangarraju.
Naturally, slow-motion shots that feature both actors in one frame is cool and all, especially towards the fag end of the film, but it may be a bit of humor will save the day.
Krithi not good in character that does not really give scope to perform.
Ramya Krishnan is an absolute delight as usual.
music Anup Rubens’ fun and fit nicely into the story.
Cinematographer Yuvaraj also took off with good visual.
Weak VFX but was let-down and not let you immerse well into the story.
All in all Bangarraju may take Chinni Nayana Soggade story forward, but the film pales in comparison to its predecessor.
And that watches this Sankranthi passable.
