New Delhi: About 1,000 people get up to now from Tele and video conferencing services starting by three companies where doctors can be consulted for Covid-19.
The doctor has been involved in 2-3 shifts to complete the patient’s query that is rather symptomatic or asymptomatic.
Official Delhi Municipal Corporation said, “Patients suggested proper care in accordance with the protocol.
Consultation includes psychological counseling, guarantees and proper guidance considering people are afraid and anxious because of their experience during the deadly Covid-19 wave.
The patient is seriously called to Gujri’s eye hospital, Tilak Nagar for further advice because we have 24×7 emergency services with ambulance facilities there.
“While telecouncelling facilities began last year, video counseling was added today to listen to patient problems or their family members directly.
“We only demand a video call whether there are shortcomings Help immediately, “said the official.
East Delhi Municipal Corporation started the video and telecouncelling facilities on January 8 since then, has received 80-100 calls every day.
“Initially, two doctors got 15-20 video calls every day, while members of the team got 60-70 calls on the phone.
Even though the number of calls has been reduced now, we have made a list of names to attend a call to divide the work pressure,” said a senior doctor from Swami Hospital.
“Parents are more worried about comorbidity.
Their anxiety can be assessed from the fact that some calls at least 4-5 times a day after testing covid-positive or diagnosed with the symptoms of the disease,” the doctor added.
An official Delhi Municipal Corporation said people wanted information about management and treatment of Covid, vaccination center, crematorium, death certificate, ICU, and availability of oxygen beds and sanitation methods, including lifting biomedical waste.
The Corporate Ayush Department said their priority was guiding people with home-based treatment to help them recover from the post-covid effect.
“People have asked why they were infected despite receiving both vaccine shots.
We told them that it depends on their immunity and Covid-19 variant, so they need to adopt safety steps,” said a senior doctor.
Their Helpline number is 1800-200-8701.
