New Delhi: “spatial disorientation” from the pilot MI-17 V5 after entering the cloud cover because the bad weather suddenly caused a helicopter accident which killed the defense chief of defense General Bipin Rawat, the IAF, IAF said on Friday.

Two Mi-17 V5 Chopper pilots are destined, Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan and Squadron Leader Kuldeep Singh, both in the “Master-Green” category, signifying their top rank in terms of flying and experience.
