T’puram: Education Minister V Sivankutty on Saturday said that there were no changes in the SSLC, a higher secondary examination schedule.
Classes for junior students in school have been suspended as precautions.
There was no significant surge in Covid cases among children, he said.
The government has suspended offline classes for students in class I to IX.
Sivankutty said this restriction applies to all educational institutions, including private schools.
He said the time of digital-online class would be rearranged.
Online classes will be scheduled in such a way that the SSLC syllabus will be borne by February first and secondary weeks higher in the last week of this month.
The focus area has been fixed.
About 35 lakh students will attend digital classes online from home for the next 15 days.
High-level meetings from the Department of Public Education are scheduled for Monday.
New guidelines will be announced after the meeting.
Special health safety measures will be placed in schools for senior students who attend offline classes, Sivakutty said.
He said the department would ensure that the vaccine was given earlier with students, at an instructed age, in their school.
Student vaccination details will be updated online at the school level, he added.
