Lucknow: Former Minister in Cabinet Yogi Adityanath, Dara Singh Chauhan, on Sunday Joins the Samajwadi Party (SP) in front of the National President Akhilesh Yadav.
He was the third minister after Swami Prasad Maurya and Dharam Singh Saini to leave BJP and join the party led by Akhilesh Yadav.
“In 2017, the BJP government gave a slogan ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.
The party takes support from everyone but only a few people who benefit development,” Chauhan said after joining SP.
The BJP legislator from Madhuban’s constituency in Lucknow further claimed that not only the classroom and Dalit were not happy with the state government, the Brahmin was also not satisfied with the BJP government here.
“Efforts are made to damage the constitution,” he added.
“I welcomed Dara Singh Chauhan and his supporters who had been hanging out,” said SP Head Akhilesh Yadav.
Earlier on January 14, former minister of Uttar Pradester Swami Prasad Maurya and Dharam Singh Saini, who resigned this week from the government of Yogi Adityanath and BJP who was ruling ahead of the polls of the Jamajwadi, had joined the Jamajwadi Party.
Together with former minister, The Sitting Mlaas Bhagwati Sagar, Vinay Shakya, Roshan Lal Verma, Mukesh Verma and Brajesh Kumar Prajapati have also joined SP.
Apna Dal Mla Chaudhary Amar Singh, former BSP MLA Neerya Kushawaha Maurya, former BJP MLC Harpal Saini, former BJP Mla Rajendra Pratap Singh, former Minister of State Vidroi Maurya, former Security head went on Singh and former Congress MLA Bansi Singh Pahadiya joined the party.
The resignation attack began with Swami Prasad Maurya stopped in the cabinet.
Maurya, a leading leader of the OBC community, has joined BJP from BSP.
Dara Singh Chauhan has resigned as minister on Wednesday.
Dharam Singh Saini became the third minister on Thursday.
The Jamajwadi Party has sewed the coalition of small parties for the Assembly polls and has emerged as BJP’s main rival in power in the state.
Previously, BJP Mlaas Mukesh Verma, Vinay Shakya, Avtar Singh Bhadana, Roshan Lal Verma, Brijesh Prajapati and Bhagwati Sagar resigned from a party.
The selection of the Uttar Pradesh Council will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.
Polls at Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and 7 March.
