Lucknow: The Unaided Private School Association (UPSA) has opposed the government’s decision to increase costs’ for sessions 2022-23.
About 250 schools under the UPSA have demanded permission to raise costs and have sent letters in this case with the main secretary (secondary education), Aradhana Shukla.
The UPSA said that for the past two years school has not increased a cent but now they must increase costs 8 to 10 percent because the school goes in losses and finds it difficult to pay salaries to employees.

“We have not increased teacher salaries for the past two years and our maintenance costs rise every year.

The association asked the government to let them increase this year’s costs,” he added.
Agarwal said it was also difficult to keep the teacher motivated without giving them salary hiking.
