Lucknow: Shivpal Yadav, National President of Pragatatheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia (PSP-L), who recently signed an alliance with the Samajwadi Party, has announced that his party will oppose the poll about the ‘bicycle’ symbol.
He claimed the decision was taken by remembering two important aspects of the 2022 elections which were different from all previous polls.
“We have received Akhilesh Yadav as a leader and agreed to oppose the 2022 assembly poll under his leadership, so there is no problem now about the symbol.
All PSP-L candidates will compete in the symbol of the ‘bicycle’ selection,” Shivpal said.
Toi has reported in November that PSP-L will enter the Alliance with Akhilesh and contest at the SP symbol.
Later, this was agreed on the principle between the two parties on December 16, when Akhilesh Yadav met him then sniffed Uncle Shivpal in the last residence to repair the fence.
Shivpal also said that since the Election Commission has given a symbol of polls to PSP-L only recently and physical demonstrations are prohibited, it is difficult to even try and publish the party symbol.
About the number of PSP-L candidates who will compete on SP tickets, Shivpal said he had left a decision for Akhilesh.
“Now we are together, I have left everything to him.
I have made some suggestions and the rest for the SP head decides,” Shivpal said.
Asked about reports that SP Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chhoti shoulder Aparna, Yadav can turn to BJP, Shivpal said according to him it would not be a wise decision.
“As far as I know, he must remain with the Samajawadi Party.
If I was asked to give advice, I would suggest he must remain with SP,” Shivpal said.
On the possibility of getting a sp ticket, Shivpal said: “He must learn a little more Supremacy in the Yadav clan which began in the Run-Up assembly poll until 2017.
In December 2018, Aparna had attended and discussed the prime rally Shivpal then just floated PSP-L in Lucknow.
