New Delhi: PMO State Minister and Personnel Jitendra Singh on Wednesday revealed that there was no one inpatient case among 60 employees who tested positive Covid-19 at the Ministry of Personnel during the third wave.
The Ministry of Personnel has a total of 879 staff of people spread in three departments – Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), Department of Administrative Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) and the Pension Department.
Singh, while interacting with DOPT officers and staff, Darpg and retirement departments located in quarantine or have been infected with Covid during the third wave, told that from 663 officers and DOPT staff, 46 was mild infected.
Symptoms and 20 of them have recovered.
Similarly, 8 people from 158 from Darpg and 6 employees from 58 from the department of retirement were infected in the third wave.
However, ministers were told that not one case of hospitalization was reported during the current infection surge.
A DOPT statement said Singh asked about the welfare of staff influenced by Covid and also asked them to share their experiences and suggestions.
