New Delhi: Remembering the Republican Day, the historic red fortress will remain closed for people for five days from January 22-26 for security reasons, police said on Wednesday.
Delhi police went down to Twitter to tell residents.
“Remembering the Republican Day, the Red Fortress will remain closed for general and general visitors from January 22, 2022 to January 26, 2022, for security reasons,” it was tweeted.
There is a three-layer security system for Republican Day celebrations and the force always be vigilant and doing anti-terror steps, especially ahead of every important national event, Delhi’s police said.
Citing security violations recently about the convoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab, Delhi police officers said that the troops were extra alert to ensure there were no such incidents in the national capital.
The Republican Day celebration will now begin every year from January 23, not January 24 to enter the birthday birth com Fighter Subash Chandra Bose.
