New Delhi: The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has kidnapped a 17-year-old boy from India in the afternoon of Arunachal Pradesh, a member of Parliament from the State of Tapir Gao told Wednesday.
Gao said the boy, identified as Miram Taron, was kidnapped from the Lungta Jor area on Tuesday.
Taron’s friend Johny Yaiying, who managed to escape, told the authorities about the kidnapping, Gao said to PTI.
Both are local hunters from Zido Village.
The incident occurred near a place where the Tsangpo River entered India.
The river is called afternoon at Arunachal Pradesh and Brahmaputra in Assam.
Previously, Gao tweeted: “#PLA China has kidnapped Miram Taron, 17 years from Vill Zido.
Yesterday January 18, 2022 from the Indian area, the Lungta Jor area (China Building a 3-4 km road in India in 2018) under the Siyungla region (Bishing Village) from noon Dist, Arunachal Pradesh.
“Gao also said that he had told Junior Home Nisith Pramanik about the incident and asked him to take the necessary actions in this matter.
He marked PM Narendra Modi, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the army in his tweet.
On September 2020, PLA had kidnapped five young men from Substairi District above and released it after about one week.
The latest incident came in the middle of the border deadlock in East Ladakh.
