Tiruvannamalai: A 16-year-old tribalist, who consumed rat poison in an attempt to end his life after he found him pregnant, despite treatment at the Tiruvannnamalai Government General Hospital on Tuesday.
The police said he was repeatedly raped by his neighbors in a village near Tiruvannnamalai.
Tiruvannamala All-Women Police arrested the neighbor of Gyprasad, 27, a driver from Kallakurichi City, who lived in a rental house, on charges of raping him, leading to his pregnancy.
The girl, who was positive for Covid-19 infection, underwent an abortion and died on Tuesday after struggling for life for 12 days at GH Tiruvannamalai.
The police also arrested the Eklavya Model of Housing School (EMRS) Headmaster I Kumaraguraran, 51, and Hostel Warden T Shenbagavalli, 37, both of which came from Tindivanam Taluk on charges of failing to report crimes to the party.
EMR, located near Kovalam in the Chengalpet district, has been established by the Ministry of Union’s tribal affairs to provide education to the children of the scheduled tribes.
Minor was returned to a housing school after the government raised the limitation of locking and reopening schools in the state a few months back.
He fainted at school on December 22 last year.
Warden Dormitory took him to the nearest government hospital.
The doctor found that the girl was pregnant and told the guards about her condition.
Warden warned the principal.
Both of them called their parents and asked them to take them home without telling her pregnancy.
His parents took his house on the same day.
Tiruvannamalai AWPS Inspector A Anbarasi said the minor tried to commit suicide at his home by consuming rat poison on January 7.
He was treated at GH Tiruvannamalai where the doctor stated that the girl was pregnant and relatives.
The girl remained unconscious for four or five days.
The police began to ask when he regained consciousness.
He revealed that he was forced to end his life after he was pregnant after repeatedly raped by his neighbor’s Heriprasad during last year’s lock.
The police booked the Hariwork under the Section of the IPS 6 (Penalty due to penetrative sexual attacks compounded) from Pocso Act, 2012, 306 (Suicide Reduction) of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and various parts of the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes ( Prevention of ATROCITIES) ACT, 1989 and arrested it on Sunday.
The police also ordered the Principal and Sherden Dormitory below Section 21 (1) (Penalty due to failure to report cases) from Pocso Law, 306 IPC and various SC / ST parts acted and arrested them on Monday.
The police produce them before the judge who sent it in terms of justice.
