Bhubaneswar: Nabard on Thursday sanctions RS 951 Crore to the state government under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (REGF) for the construction of 176 road projects.
Rural road projects with a combined length of 1,434 km will be carried out by the Rural Development Department.
This project will increase the connectivity of rural roads for 9.92 lakh people in 959 villages in 30 districts.
These sanctions are on the priority path set by the state government to develop critical rustic infrastructure to supply drinking water, irrigation and rural connectivity (roads and bridges).
With this sanction, cumulative sanctions under the Regf reached the level of Rs 3,852 Crore for the financial year 2021-22.
Similarly, total cumulative sanctions from the beginning of the Regf have passed the RS 32,000 Crores for Odisha.
