Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to bring 15 teacher education institutions (train universities) in the state offering beds and medical courses under the Higher Education Department.
These institutions, which are now working in schools and the Department of Mass Education will begin to function under the Ministry of Higher Education from next year.
The government will issue formal notifications about the transfer of training universities from administrative control of the Department of School Education and the masses on administrative control of the Ministry of Higher Education with the effects of June 1, the beginning of the academic session of 2021-22.
