Indian American Tech businessman Dr.
Romesh Wadhwani, who was awarded Padma Shri by the Indian government for 2020, received his appreciation from the Indian Consul General in San Francisco on Wednesday, according to the release of the foundation.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Wadhwani has led several social and philanthropic initiatives such as the National Entrepreneurship Network, Startup and Small Business Initiatives and Global Innovation Networks.
Because of the restriction of the trip because of the Pandemic Covid-19, Dr.
Wadhwani could not come to New Delhi to receive an award from the President of India in Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Instead, he has asked the government that his appreciation presented to him through the Consulate General in San Francisco.
Consul General T V Nagendra Prasad said he was honored to present the award, in the name of the Indian government, to Dr.
Wadhwani who has established himself as a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist impact.
